Even though I told her what happened between us would not affect the work. I would never let it affect her career because I knew how important her career was to her. And yet, she hadn't come. I gritted my teeth and rested my forehead on the cold wall of the elevator.
She left as if I were nothing as if what had happened between us was nothing.
