Chapter Fifteen It took a few moments to locate her red underpants. She had kicked them across the room and the ball of lace had ended up against the far wall. With them scrunched in her hand, she chased after Mr. Dennison, hoping to catch him at the elevator. She felt he deserved an explanation, though she hadn’t a clue what she could possibly say to the man. In the outer office, she stumbled against a desk. The lights were off. “What did you mean: I don’t like you?” Jill, still with a hand on the desk top, was jarred upright.
