Sinclair's POV The drive is suffocating, I am taking Chloe to her house courtesy of Mom. The last conversation with my mother is replaying over and over again. "You are not leaving that woman like that young man, this is your problem, handle it!!!" She didn't even look up when she said it, just waved her hand like I was something she couldn't even look at. One hand on the wheel and another on my chin, jaw tight. I glance at the rear view mirror, Chloe's eyes meet mine and she turns away. She is quiet. Wonderful, now that the explosion has done its work. She knows better than to open her mouth. I shouldn't be taking her anywhere. I should have left her stranded in the living room with her lies and her crocodile tears, but mum insisted and I know better than to disagree with her,
