Alissa and Katherine, the two clerks who gave Narila’s bounty to Fingers a while ago, are sitting in their office as usual. Of course, because Third is never wrong (except for when Third is), they are no ordinary clerks, but rather Imperial specialists working directly under Empress Nakano in the National Security sector. Their covers are two cute young clerks, responsible for handling nobles, powerful mercenaries, and bounty hunting teams in their affairs. The true task they were assigned is to uncover any potential threats to the Crown that may come from bounty hunters and mercenaries. These people usually work for money, so it’s possible that a rebellious noble faction might hire powerful combatants and use them to overthrow the Empress.
