I couldn’t move. It was like I was frozen in place and I can’t feel my legs anymore. For 4 years, I have been imagining what our reunion was going to be like. Seeing him in the arms of another woman was not among the scenarios I imagined.
I suddenly felt someone tugging on me asking what’s going on. When I turned around, it was Roel. He inadvertently looked at Julian who’s eyes seemed to darken when he saw Roel holding onto me. I looked at Julian once more just to make sure that it was really him I’m seeing and not just another one of his doppelgangers. It was definitely him, and his eyes were still as expressive as they were the first time I met him. Even his expression right now is the same as the ones he had when I first met him. He looked as if he loathed me.
