Amelia exited the boardroom and found the Hawke Industries halls eerily quiet. The silence was loaded, buzzing with barely suppressed whispers, eyes that flicked away too quickly, and lips that twitched in uncertainty—not the respectful kind. She was no longer just Sebastian Hawke’s secretary. She was the woman who had brought down Isabelle Mercer. And that made her dangerous. Sebastian fell into pace next to her, a continuous presence.
