Chapter Thirty-three

1582 Words

Upon conducting a thorough visual inspection of the surrounding vicinity, I came to the realization that Paul and Brian were not within my line of sight. “Where are Paul and Brian?” I asked when I turned and looked between Emanuele and Jack. “They are already back, enjoying the party,” Jack said as he pointed out past the tree line. “What? Already? How?” I asked, but they did not reply. How did they manage to consume their meals and send them on their way so quickly? Only Stephen remains. I turned my attention back toward Cecil and watched as he bent down to kneel over Stephen’s body. He brought his wrist up towards his mouth, and I could hear as he bit down and cutting open his wrist. He placed his wrist over Stephen’s mouth, and that is when it seemed like Stephen came back to life.
