Killian's POV
Eleanor's Point Of View~
I stood there, dazed, stupefied and speechless when I saw Killian's eyes boring into mine with such intensity that made my heart skip. My legs became heavy as if they were replaced with a stack of bricks. I realized they had stopped their conversation since my presence had embraced their attention. My heart plummeted to my stomach when I saw them approaching in my direction but luckily for me, an enthusiastic fan of mine appeared in front of me, grabbing my entire attention.
She was in a denim gown and kitten heels. Her jet black shoulder length hair which was hanging freely by the right side of her neck with the slight smokey eye makeup she did made her dark eyes pop. She stared at me with so much excitement on her face, and I was thankful that her presence prevented Killian and his friend from wanting to see me.
“I am a huge fan of your designs, Miss Raquel. Please can I have your autograph?” She implored, smiling sheepishly as she extended a colorful book for me to sign on. A mild smile pulled up at the corners of my lips and without hesitating, I brought out my pen to scribble my signature on it. The lady jumped in excitement and requested a hug from me. Bringing out her iphone, she took a selfie with me and that alone garnered attention of different people around.
So many fans and people strolling the lower floor crowded around me, each of them extending their books and items for me to sign on. My eyes darted around and I tried hard to keep my smile from faltering since I wasn't a fan of crowded places. Their faces bloomed with enthusiasm and eagerness as they trooped around me. As I leaned forward to sign on their items, the ribbon holding my ponytail loosened causing my hair to fall freely but a teenage boy standing beside me was quick to tuck a strand of my hair behind my ear. I looked up to face him and a contagious smile graced his features with his deep green eyes piercing into mine. He had dirty blond hair, olive toned skin and freckles on his cheek.
“You're so beautiful…” He mumbled nicely, his words melting my heart. The smile on my face deepened and I left whatever I was doing to scribble on his book.
“Thank you so much, Miss.” He squealed excitingly before running off to meet his sister who was on a wheelchair. He took a glance at me, waving his hands cutely in the air. Smiling graciously, I watched him push his disabled sister out of the building. They were probably one of those orphans who walk into certain events and areas so they could steal glances of celebrities.
The sight of his disabled sister broke my heart and I wished I could spend more time with them but I knew it was something that was never going to happen. The crowds around me were starting to get aggressive and they fought among themselves just to get my attention.
Some guards appeared at the scene, pushing the throngs off me with stern faces. My manager, Miss Rosa, approached me with concern on her face.
“I've been looking for you. It's time to see Mr Leo Davinci and Mr Brookes. Guess what?” She asked, piquing my interest.
“What?” I asked with raised brows, my eyes flashing with curiosity.
“Miss Natalie, the famous designer from New York is here to see you as well.”
She broke the news to me, causing my brows to shoot to the roof. My stomach churn with excitement, my eyes flicking with anxiety as well. Darting my eyes around, I realized that the throngs were still persistent to get my autographs. They tried hard to get to my direction but for the guards in front of them.
I felt bad that I couldn't attend all of them. They were just too much and it would be tiring to sign my autographs on multiple items.
“I still can't believe this.. Miss Natalie Gills is here?” I asked repeatedly as I followed my manager back to the hall.
She nodded happily, conforming to my query and I felt a wave of satisfaction surged within me.
I've heard quite a lot about her. She's a famous elite designer who has several fashion houses in the United States, France and Italy. Her works are creative and breathtaking. I've always been a huge fan of hers and it's surprising that she would show up here just to see me..
Incredible!
Strolling back to the large hall, I received welcoming handshakes and accolades from a lot of officials, and renowned men. Seeing Brookes and Natalie for the first time made me super elated and I couldn't contain my excitement. Even though I was extremely nervous, I tried hard to maintain my composure. All I needed was to be focused and avoid gazes at someone like Killian.
“Bonjour!” Miss Natalie greeted, her teeth showing through a warm smile. Her beauty could not be ignored, and even when she was in her mid- fifties, she appeared stunning and young like a youth. Her slender shape suits her oval face and her beautiful shimmering outfit screamed wealth. The outfit she wore at this occasion was one of her best designs and it was one of those designs she made that got her more fame and recognition. We shook hands before sitting on a large love-shaped sofa, my face flushing with content.
When she announced her intention to work with me for an upcoming project, I could not help but scream into my palms….
She was so calm, polite and humble and it was a huge surprise to me when she disclosed how much she loved my designs as well.
We both drank in merriment, a feeling of camaraderie hung heavily in the air.
After our conversation, she left with her guards, leaving me behind with Mr Brooks and his friend who was also a famous designer in Saudi Arabia.
We discussed business related stuff and still had time for a chitchat. Sooner, he left with his friend and so many people crowded around me, requesting for my autographs. Rosa stepped in, pushing them off me and it took a lot of effort to attend to a few of them. The guards didn't hesitate to show up as well and once again, I felt bad for being unable to give them all my attention.
When I was finally alone at my VIP lounge, my ears perked at the sound of light footsteps, which was obviously heading in my direction. Tracing the direction of the sound, my gaze settled on a red pair of heels clacking on the smooth tiles. A strong scent of cologne lingered in the air and the steps of the figure approaching me was measured and controlled.
Curiosity crossed my features as I raised my head to stare at the person approaching me. To my amazement, it was Taylor. That evil b***h from years back. The overall vibe of the room darkened. It should. A nuisance was in the room.
I shouldn't be surprised to see her. Since Killian showed up at the event, it wasn't a surprise that she would show up as well.
I could remember those previous years. How she made my life hell on earth and how she tormented me day and night. It was something I'd never forget and I swear to get my revenge on her like I plan to get on Killian.
She had a rush of excitement on her face as she searched my face. Her reddish lips parted in a smile and she waved her hands in the air before closing the distance between us.
Instead of seeing those murderous, evil eyes of hers like I often see years back, all I saw now were eyes brimming with intrigue, desire and joy.
I should recall that she is excited to see Raquel and not Eleanor.
Let's see how long that joy on her face will last. She will regret ever stepping her feet here.
Crossing my arms, I snapped, “What are you doing in my VIP lounge? How the hell did she get here?!”
“I've heard so much about you, Miss Raquel..” She replied, casting a glance at every detail of the room before settling her gaze back to me.
A smirk pulled at the corner of my lips; she probably hadn't seen a room as stunning and exquisitely furnished as this, which was why she couldn't take her eyes off it for a minute.
My brows creased as rage stirred within me. No one has ever showed up here before, not even my guards.
Who gave the audacity to show up here?
