▪︎Poison▪︎ MILES I sit beside Ruby's bed, waiting for her to wake up. Her skin looks pale and cold. Her lips are dry and cracked. Her dark hair is scattered allover the pillow. Her cheeks and chin are a little bruised. Even in this state, she's still so beautiful. I couldn't believe it when I came across her car, lying upside down on the roadside. She couldn't talk. She couldn't move. She was completely unconscious, with her head facing down. I was afraid the car was going to explode so I pulled her out of the car before calling the police. I was so horrified and terrified as I drove her to the hospital myself. I was so scared she was going to die. The doctors didn't waste any time to treat her as fast as they could. I was so relieved when they said she was stable and conscious.
