▪︎ The Familiar Stranger ▪︎ I wake up from the nightmare. I sit still in bed, frozen. Holding my breath. Hugging my knees. Head buried in my hands. Miles turns on the other side of the bed, sleeping soundly. I would hate for him to see me in such a state. Shaken up but frozen. Not able to say a single word. I take a deep breathe in a struggle to collect myself. I crawl out of bed slowly and quietly and lock myself up in the washrooms. When I step out, Miles is already out of bed, stretching and yawning. He groans after drawing the curtains. "Can this weather give us a break? It's been freezing the whole month!" "Atleast we don't have a class today," I smile. "That means we don't have to go outside.
