We are all exhausted from the wild ride.
It's such a relief when Cole stops the car outside a small cabin in the woods. Erik takes my hand as we walk to the house. I look up at him and smile, his tired eyes gleaming in the moonlight.
"You're taking the room upstairs?" Reed groans when we enter the little house.
Erik nods. "I booked it first."
"Whatever..." Cole yawns, taking his girlfriend's hand.
We dump our bags on the floor when we get to the room. It's a small room with a small bed and a small shelf stocked with a bunch of old dusty books. The little window at the corner lets the moonlight sneak into the room.
"I'll let you change," says Erik as he reaches for the door.
"You don't have to leave." I stop him. "It's okay..."
