Chapter 19 Prom night

Laughter's POV

Jamie was crowned prom king,which wasn't a surprise.He had the charm,the grades,and the popularity.Vanessa,to everyone's delight,was named prom queen.They danced together under the lights,and everyone cheered.It was like something out of a movie.Natasha and I were crowned best couple of the night.I couldn't stop smiling.I felt proud,not because of the title,but because she stood beside me,glowing in her simple,elegant dress,holding my hand like we were the only two people in the room.

Soon after,we all began preparing for college. Vanessa talked nonstop about majoring in arts, acting,singing,dancing,anything that allowed her to express herself.Jamie was set on studying medicine. He always wanted to help people,and he had the brains for it too.Natasha and I,not surprisingly,were both going for architecture.Designing beautiful things together?It was perfect.

We were excited,hopeful,ready to leave high school behind.Life went smoothly.For the first time in a long while,we felt like we were moving forward.

Thankfully,we all got enrolled into the same college the same college at that and started studying our various career paths.I graduated as the class valedictorian and Natasha got the award for the most outstanding student in visual arts.She's still a better artist than me.

Jamie got three prizes:Most Outstanding Student in Physics,Biology and Chemistry.And lastly,Vanessa,she was the most outstanding student in Economics and also got an award as a good head in class (LOL).
