Chapter 20 Opening

Laughter's POV

College came quickly.New surroundings,new people,and bigger dreams.It felt like a fresh page,ready to be filled.Our schedules were packed,our nights long with assignments,but we still made time for each other,weekend hangouts,movie nights,video calls when things got too stressful.

Somehow,though,in all the excitement and the rush of growing up,we had forgotten something...the prophecy.The warning.The strange feelings and symbols that once followed us like shadows.It all slipped from our minds as if it had never happened.

But deep down something told me it hadn't ended. It was just beginning.

My mom also told me about our lineage and who I am,and I also learned fully about my powers. Believe it or not,I'm still here… I'm now just 19! Believe me,I plan to spend the rest of my life with Natasha.Yeah,you heard me right.I will marry Natasha and make her my wife forever.

Natasha's POV

My dad,the governor,is opening his new grand hotel. He wants me and Laughter to be there.Truth is,he told me he loves Laughter very much and didn't hesitate to say yes when he asked me out in high school.We all graduated with our various awards and...

Successfully got into college like I was saying,my dad is finally opening his new grand hotel,and people from all over the world are going to be present.I also want to formally introduce Laughter to my dad as my boyfriend.I would have done it sooner,but my dad is always busy and doesn't really have my time.My mom is late.I hope we might have a bit of family time this time.

When I told Laughter about it,he agreed readily. The date was fixed.Jamie and Vanessa are also going to be present.

Jamie's POV

Natasha invited us for her father's hotel grand opening.Why do I feel something's going to go wrong?My oracles keep saying something.I can feel it.The words aren't clear but…now I hear it… NO…

Third Person POV

Today was the day of the hotel's grand opening. Different dignitaries from all over the world came celebrities,musicians,politicians,you name it.Natasha took Laughter to her father.

"Hello,son" Natasha's father said immediately he saw Laughter.

"Hello,sir and congratulations on your hotel's grand opening" Laughter said,smiling cheerfully.

"Thank you,son.Let's go open the hotel,shall we, princess?"he said,gesturing to Natasha.

"Yes,dad"Natasha said and smiled as they walked around.

At the entrance,Natasha's father started addressing the public,while Natasha and Laughter stood by his side alongside some others.

"Have you seen Jamie and Vanessa?"Laughter asked Natasha quietly.

"No,I haven't,"Natasha replied quickly.

"Let me look for them.I'll be right back,"Laughter said and rushed into the crowd.
