Chapter 33: Little Dawn's Crisis
(Eliza's POV)
I sped across Shadow Bridge in my white SUV, trying Garrett's number for the fifth time. Still no answer.
"Answer your damn phone," I muttered, tossing my phone aside in frustration.
The irony wasn't lost on me. The mighty Future Alpha too busy for his daughter's emergency while I, his ex-mate with no ties to Dawn, was racing to help.
I slammed on the brakes at Moonrise Academy's entrance and rushed inside. Vice Head Teacher Rebecca Foster waited anxiously by the door.
"Dr. Rivers, you finally came," she said with relief.
"Where is Little Dawn? Where is she?" I asked, not slowing my pace.
We hurried through corridors decorated with children's artwork. The sound of heart-wrenching sobs grew louder.
