  The next day, Leandre woke up with only a blanket to hug him. He stood up from the bed and looked for Alondra but he couldn't see her. He frowned as to why she always left without letting him know. As he entered the bathroom, his wallet fell to the floor. He took it and looked at it. His brow furrowed when he saw that his folded check was no longer inside his wallet. He was thinking about where it fell but it was probably nowhere because he saw it earlier when he and Alondra were eating.
