Maddison's POV
He rose up lazily from the head of the table, his height and broad body towering over the space. He never looked at Marcus once. He simply looked at Maddison with her hand still gripping the stand, a cautious figure in the storm she made.
“It seems clear to me," Grant declared, his voice ringing out across the room, "that Ms. Carter has not only a greater design, but a greater understanding of the facts. Beyond that, she has shown something rather less usual. Honesty. And vision." He gazed at the board. "I mean, she was aware of this attack. She came ready not just to stand up for what she had said, but to show a danger from within our own company.”
