I awoke to a light tapping on my back. "Laura, you should go to bed, you fell asleep on the couch while watching TV, " Betty said to me the second I opened my eyes.
"Ok, thanks Betty, but how long has it been since I slept here? " I asked, wondering if Ken was already long back home and didn't bother waking me up.
"You've been asleep for over six hours, its already past midnight. "She answered.
Past mid night!!!, wow I really slept for so long, I thought. "Thanks Bet,"I said "but what about Ken, isn't he back yet?" I asked dreading to know the answer, but seeing the fallen look on her face, I already knew what the answer was.
