Alice’s POV: “You want to take the GED?” Mr.Franklin asks. I nod. He releases a hazy breath, “Alice, sit down.” He gestures towards the desk in front of him. Walking past him, I tighten my grip onto the backpack strap. Laying my backpack on the ground, I sat down, holding onto the skirt of my cheerleading uniform. He placed the pen down and stood up, walking around the desk, then leaned against it, crossing his arms.
