Chapter 12

"WOOHHOOO, GO SCOTT!!!!!!!" Jake shouted raising his hands up in the air, as Scott scored another point.

I chuckled at him as I shook my head. "I swear that you're more excited than I am, Jake"

"Are you kidding me? Scott's my bro!! I have to cheer him up for the game!" he said, winking at Allsion when he finished, making her giggle like a mad woman.

I rolled my eyes. I can't believe that she likes him!! JAKE!!! I mean, he's not bad, don't get me wrong, but why JAKE?!! My cousin!!

"Hello ladies" a voice said making me flinch. Gerard.

Allison and I slowly stood up. "Gerard, what are you doing here?" I said, trying not to sound rude.

"I came to see the game," he replied smiling. "Who is this young man?"

"Oh, he's my cousin, Jake" I said as Jake gave him a smile and waved hello.

Gerard nodded, then he eyed Allison curiously. "Are you by any chance Allison's boyfriend?"

The look on both Allison and Jake's faces were priceless. Both of them with wide eyes, and their cheeks different shades of red. I wanted to laugh at the moment, but Gerard's prescence made it difficult...

"Uh, no sir, we're not a couple" Jake said after a few seconds.

"Yeah grandpa, why would you ask that?" Allison added.

Gerard shook his head. "Oh, I don't know. It's just that this young man seems to have a liking towards my granddaughter"

This made the both of them even more nervous, I almost cracked up laughing. Maybe I could take a picture of them...

"I'll see you later, Penny. Maybe I should go bother Karen, instead" Jake said glancing at all of us one more time, before leaving and muttering something about Gerard being a freak.

The three of us sat on the bleachers, an awkward silence filling the area between us. "You knew about Gerard coming?" I whispered to Allison, careful of Gerard not to hear me.

She slowly nodded. "Why didn't you tell me?"

"Well I was going to, but my parents stayed with my phone, and then we came here and I...... I forgot to tell you" she whispered back.

"You forgot about telling me?," I said and she nodded innocently. "Why the heck did you forget to tell me?!"

"Well...." she said looking behind me.

I followed her gaze and groaned when I realized her reason of forgetting. "You forgot because of Jake?"

"I'm sorry, I swear I am. It's just that he started talking to me and I just forgot about what I had to tell you and-"

"Okay Allison. I get it" I cut her off rolling my eyes.

She nodded giving me an apologetic smile, then her face brighten up as she had remembered something important. "You know that we have to get the Bestiary, right?"

"Yeeeaaahh....?" I said kinda confused.

"Well, how about we try to get it now?" she said pointing discreetly at Gerard's coat.

I looked at her with a 'You're-Right!' look and she just grinned. "So, how do we get his coat?"

"You leave that to me" she said then wrapped her arms around herself as if she were cold. Luckily, she caught Gerard's attention.

"You cold, Allison?" he asked.

"A little" she replied.

"Here," he said as he took off his coat. "Take my coat"

Allison wrapped the coat around her as she muttered a quiet "Thanks". Trying to be as discreet as she could, she placed her hands on both of the jacket pockets. In less than 10 seconds she took out the keys from Gerard's office. I secretly extended my hand so I could have the keys. She quickly passed them to me, and then I quietly passed them to Stiles who walked by, obviously knowing what we were trying to do. I nodded to Allison, telling her that our mission was complete. She returned the favor. Now all we had to do was watch the game...

As the game continued, I could feel eyes on us every now and then. And I was right. When I looked to my side there was the stalker with his stupid camera, taking photos while talking to Melissa. When he saw that I was looking he smiled at me. I smiled back, a fake smile. Quietly, I poked Allison's arm with my elbow. "What is it?"

"That guy talking to Melissa, Matt, is looking at us. And I have a feeling that he's not taking pictures from the game" I said, my eyes not leaving Matt.

His smile turned into a smirk, when he saw that both Allison and I were looking. I shivered. That guy gives me the creeps...

"You know, now that you mention it, he is a pretty weird guy" Allison said.

I nodded in agreement. He IS a pretty weird guy. I have a feeling that he's hiding something....
