Stiles was taking too long in Gerard's office. Maybe too long for our liking. 50 minutes. 50 freaking minutes, almost an hour, and the game is almost over!!! I wasn't even aware of what was happening at the game, I was just worried about Stiles...
...What if something happened to him?
What if someone saw him entering the office?
Or maybe he forgot about what he was doing and went to find Lydia!!
Ugh, that's probably it. I mean, I would've followed Lydia to her car, where she's probably crying right now, but knowing her she wants some time alone. But maybe Stiles could make her feel better, if he doesn't act like an i***t. That would probably be a start for him....
The thoughts vanished from my mind when I saw Scott scoring another point. Then I gasped when I heard his leg breaking in the process, but apparently I wasn't the only one. I found myself in the big crowd of people gathered around Scott. Feeling a slight pain in my stomach, I kneeled beside him, Melissa next to me.
''Scott'' I breathed.
''Scott, are you alright?'' Melissa asked.
''I'm fine,'' he said standing up as if nothing happened. ''See?''
Melissa looked as if she gone mad. ''I swear that I heard your leg breaking!''
He gave her an 'Nothing-Happened' smile as I placed my arm around his waist, so he wouldn't lose balance. And that's when it hit me. He's a werewolf! Oh, silly me!
Everyone had confused looks on their faces. Some started to nod, some muttered 'Yeah', except for Gerard. He remained quiet, eyeing Scott suspiciously. I hope he doesn't suspect anything...
After everyone went back to their places, and the game was over, I went back to Scott. I gave him a worried look, which he returned, and I knew that we thought the same thing.
''Where's Stiles?'' we both said at the same time.
Then we sighed at the same time. ''Nothing?''
I shook my head. ''What do we do now?''
''I don't know. Let's-''
''Scott, Penny, there you are,'' Gerard said from behind us.
''Can we help you, sir?'' I asked politely.
''I just want to invite you two to have dinner tonight, with us'' he said smiling.
I gave him an 'Are-You-Serious?' look. After what happened last time, he really thinks that I will have dinner with the Argents? Not a chance.
''With all the respect, sir, I don't feel really comfortable going to your house... you know... after what happened with Victoria...'' I said, and I could feel Scott's eyes on me, probably giving me a confused look.
I never told Scott about what happened. I didn't want to cause him any more problems. He has a few already. ''Please, I insist. I will make sure nothing happens'' Gerard said.
Ugh, why the hell does he keep insisting?! Doesn't he understand that I DON'T WANT TO!!!!
But then I remembered that we had to get the Bestiary, and this was the right moment. I could tell that didn't want to go either, but soon I found myself saying, ''Sure''
This made him grin, and Scott frown. I gave him an apologetic smile as Gerard said, ''Very well. Please, come with us''
As we followed him to his car Scott grabbed my hand. ''Why the hell did you say yes?'' he whispered.
''I wanted to say no, but we have to get the Bestiary'' I whispered back.
He didn't seem to understand what I had just said, but then he said, ''You're right''
I nodded. ''I know I am''
He chuckled quietly, but then he got serious all of a sudden. ''Can you tell me what happened with Victoria?''
That's the question I didn't want to answer. But eventually I had to. I sighed and shrugged a little. ''It was stupid, really. She didn't want me in her house, she started to insult my mum, I insulted her, and then she... slapped me''
''What?! And you didn't tell me?!'' he hissed.
''I didn't want to worry you'' I said.
''You should've told me'' he said.
I sighed. ''I know. It's just that there were more important things that you-''
''More important things?!,'' he said a little louder, but luckily Gerard didn't hear him. ''Penny, the most important thing for me is you!''
I gave him a small smile. ''I'm sorry''
''Don't be'' he said placing his arm around my shoulder as he placed a soft kiss on my forehead.
I automatically smiled even bigger. He was such a cute boyfriend...!!
I was happy. Very happy that I'm here, with my head on Scott's shoulder. I felt so relaxed. I didn't care about anything right now. It was so peaceful, but everything has an end.
''We're here'' Gerard said pulling up in front of the Argent's house.
Allison looked at me and mouthed, 'Are you sure?'
I gave her a smile and nodded. As we entered the house I was holding Scott's hand, every step we took I squeezed it harder. We stood in the front door and waited for Gerard to open it. I really didn't want to see Victoria. It wasn't that I was afraid of her, God no! It was just that she annoyed me. And she said that she didn't want me here, but then again, do I really care about what she says?!
When the door opened and we stepped inside, we didn't see Victoria or Chris instantly. The was a relief, but I knew that I had to see them sometime. Sadly, they both stepped out of the kitchen, but they didn't see Scott and I. ''Gerard, Allison, you're here. Did you have fun?'' Victoria said.
''Yeah, we did'' Gerard replied.
''Well, sit down. Dinner's almost ready'' she said.
''Okay. I hope you don't mind, but I brought two guests'' Gerard said.
''Oh really? Who?'' Chris asked.
And that's when we stepped out. As always, I wanted to laugh, because Victoria and Chris' looks were priceless. Chris was somewhat glad to see me, but Victoria wasn't. Of course she wasn't!
The only thing Scott and I did was smile, wave, and say, ''Hi''
