It's been a month since Zeke showed up at my exhibition, and we're in what Mara calls "hell week" -though really, it's more like hell for two weeks. I have my final portfolio review for Advanced Studio coming up, which means finishing three major pieces and writing artist statements that don't sound pretentious. Zeke has his structural design project due, plus midterms in two other classes. We've barely seen each other in person for five days. **Me:** How's it going? **Zeke:** I've been staring at the same load calculation for twenty minutes. Pretty sure I'm going cross-eyed. **Me:** Take a break? **Zeke:** Can't. This is due tomorrow at 9am and I'm maybe 60% done. **Me:** Okay. You've got this. I believe in you. **Zeke:** How's your piece coming? **Me:** I hate it. I'm scrapping
