Dangerous - Chapter 3: A Tall Glass of Drama

1156 Words
Jeremy wakes up with a groan and gets out of bed. He made his way to the bathroom and took a shower, making sure that he spent as much time as possible in there. After what seems like a eternity, Jeremy emerges from the bathroom with a grimace as cool air collides with his previously warm and toasty body. I can't wait till I can't go to school anymore. He thinks, as he pulls a blue shirt with a "Black is better than ever!" message over his head. Then he hears a knock come from outside of his bedroom door. Thinking that his Dad was behind the door, he answers "Open!" He gasps as he sees who it really was. "Hello Jay Jay!" A girl with short black hair and a hardcore amount of dark makeup walks into his room, looking around as if it was hers. "Wow, i see you've done some redecorating since the last time I was here." "Who in the hell let you into my house Roofie?" Jeremy scolds, turning away so he can quickly pull his pants up. Roofie is Jeremy's bestfriend and ex-girlfriend (shocker). They've been friends since they were 10, so of course she has full permission and respect from his Dad to do whatever the hell she wanted around Jeremy. She smirks and replies, "Your Dad, genius. He said to stay downstairs, but I don't wait for anybody." Not knowing how to respond to that, Jeremy focuses back on getting himself properly dressed for school. Bored, Roofie goes over to his bed and jumps on top of it, her back facing the roof and her legs in the air. "Don't you have anywhere else to be?" He asks, annoyed that his personal space was being harassed. "Don't you have another girlfriend to f**k?" "To Shay." Roofie rolls her eyes and props her hands under her cheeks before saying, "Speaking of f*****g girlfriends, what happened to that b***h of yours?" He glowers at her and finally pulls on a sweater over his head. "Do you have to lace every word you say with a curse?" He says. "Yes, now answer the question." Now it's Jeremy's turn to roll his eyes. "What do you want to know?" Her forehead creases as her eyebrows move lower, a expression clearly stating, 'Stop f*****g around.' "Come on dude, I'm your bestfriend, I know what's going on." She answers. "You do?" "That and i saw Natalie inside a ice scream shop crying while she held on to one of her friends." Jeremy grumbles and picks up his backpack, ignoring Roofie and walking out his door. "Hey, wait up. Wait, wait, let me guess." Roofie chastised, speed walking next to him. "She wasn't the one right? Like every other girl in this world." She snorts and waits for him to reply, but he continues walking until he makes it to the kitchen where his Dad is cooking waffles. "Hey Kiddo. Sorry for the burst of privacy. She wouldn't wait in the living room." Roofie winks and sits down in a seat where a pile of waffles are already stacked in front of it. "Whatever, I'm going to school." "What about the waffles?" His Dad asks, pointing to a stack next to the stove. "I'll just buy lunch. I'm not that hungry right now." "Don't worry Mr. McCouglin. I'll make sure to finish these up at school." Roofie scoops up the second plate and heads out the door with Jeremy, waving to his disappointed Dad until they were out of sight. "Your an ass, you know that?" Not having it today, Jeremy folds his arms and quips, "That's rich coming from you." "Your so stupid sometimes, honestly. I would kill to have a Dad as cool as yours. Your always walking all over him." She seethes. "It's not like your any different to your Dad." Roofie's face clouds over, leaving behind a frown. In a instant, Jeremy regrets what had stupidly come out of his mouth. "It's because he doesn't treat me any differently than a f*****g dog." Jeremy looks down and sighs, pulling an arm over his friend for comfort. "Sorry Roof, didn't mean to go there. How about I take you out to eat after school?" She looks up at him and beams, knowing all to well that the real way to a woman's heart, was through her stomach. They finally make it on campus where a bunch of good-looking students joked in front of the school, there giggles and chuckles emitting all the way to the other side of the street. One guy, however, got Jeremy's attention the most as he stared at him coldly. Roomie notices this and glances in the direction his eyes are trained. "What's the beef?"She says, looking back up at him. "That guy's an asshole." The boy who had won triumphantly in his battle with Jeremy sat on a bench with a bunch of other guys, his innocent smile making Jeremy glower. "But that's Jason. He's like the sweetest guy in school. "She adds. Jeremy completely ignores her and makes his way over to him. Jason sees him coming, and the smile that once plastered his face, disappeared in an instant. Jeremy walks directly in front of Jason and two other guys sitting next to him, his face turning red from anger. "You think punching me in the stomach and running away from me like a little b***h makes you Mr. Elite?"He seethes. He waits for Jason to answer, but he only looks up at him with his mouth gaping. It should be said that Jeremy wasn't really thinking right because of the lack of breakfast. The friend sitting next to Jason looks in between them and decides to save Jason. "Hey, hey, hey!" He says, moving an arm in front of Jeremy to stop him from getting any closer. "Woah there. Hey, aren't you that rich kid? Jeremy right? Hello! My names Coldren." Not giving a f**k about who he was, Jeremy shoves his arm away and takes a step towards Jason. Jason eye's bulge and he stares alertly up at him. "I don't give a fuck." He seethes. In one swift move, he grabs Jason's collars and pulls him to his feet. Jason glares into fiery blue eyes as he tries to push Jeremy off him, but to no avail. "Come on! Fight me right now! Show how much of tough guy you are!" Jeremy yells, but instead of landing a blow, he is pulled back by Roofie. A very familiar voice is heard from behind them, and it yells, "Jeremy what the heck? Don't hurt him! " It's Natalie. She runs past them and into Jason's arms, caressing his cheek and constantly asking him "Are you okay?" while a confused Jeremy and Roofie stare at her. Coldren is holding his hand to his mouth to keep the laughter that was bubbling in him at bay.
