At the far end of the general emergency ward, the frail body of a child could be seen lying in a hospital bed. Her small face was swollen, while her forehead and neck had been bandaged; an IV drip was inserted into the back of her hand, an infusion her body relied on to keep it hydrated, and a pulse oximeter was attached to her thumb to measure her heartbeat and respiratory conditions. “No!
