“Joseph,” she called out softly expecting to hear somebody else’s voice.
It took him longer than necessary as he tried to push Leo back lest he scares Rose and just as she had decided to find out for herself if it really was Joseph, he spoke.
“Were you expecting someone else?” he asked but he sounded off as he was still in communication with his beta and tracker who had gone after the rogue.
It really was him, she thought. She shook her head wondering if it was her imagination or if it was real.
“Rose, it is me. I am here,” he reassured her. “I will never let anyone hurt you.” He soothed her as he covered her in his coat jacket then scooped her up bridal style to walk with her to the car.
