I scanned the street before I walked down it. It was a new habit to make sure I didn’t run into Oliver. If I spent too much time with him, I knew I wouldn’t be able to resist him.
The house I approached was beautiful with a stunning back deck that overlooked the perfect white sand beach. An expensive looking boat was tied to the small dock and the perfectly manicured flower beds stood out against the greens and blues in the backdrop.
