The Horizon Hour

New beginning

Run Julius, remember who you are!!!

Noo!!' Julius screamed as he woke up from the nightmare he was having'

'Still having the same dream' Michael said to him from the other side of the room for they shared a room

''yes and I don't know what it means"' Julius replied

'Maybe it's related to the missing memories you have,it might be a clue'

"Maybe but i cant shake of the feeling that it's something really important"

'More or less for this dreams to persist after one year it should be something important'

Julius stood up from his bed and went out through window, climbing onto the roof to stare at the stars, Michael followed him and sat beside him

"You know sometimes i feel like I don't belong here,like there's more to this memories"

'come with me i want to show you something' Michael said jumping down from the roof and signalling Julius to be quiet while he followed him

''what is he up to again'' Julius said to himself as he followed

Both boys headed in to the mountains and came across a little stream that cut through the mountain,they followed the path of the stream as they head deeper into the mountain they came across a cave

'we're here' said Michael

'come on inside what i want to show you is inside'

"Are you sure it's safe Mike" Julius said reluctantly

'Don't worry it's safe' i come here all the time

"Ok if you say so"

They both walked into the cave and as they head deeper into the cave Michael took a path in the cave that lead to a dead end

"This is what you want to show me,a dead end" Julius said to Michael with a look of disappointment

"I thought it'll be something exciting considering what happened"

'Julius, Julius come on you haven't really been listening to what dad has been teaching us have you' Michael said as he walked towards the wall closing their paths in front of them 'there's more than meet the eye'

He placed his hands on the wall and chanted

'ᛒᛖᚠᛟᚱᛖ ᚷᛟᛞ ᚨᚾᛞ ᛒᛖᚠᛟᚱᛖ ᛗᚨᚾ ᚱᛖᚡᛖᚨᛚ, ᛋᚺᛟᚹ ᛗᛖ ᚹᚺᛟ ᛁ ᚱᛖᚨᛚᛚᚤ ᚨᛗ'

The cave rumbled and a pathway opened before them

'see I told you there's more'

Julius startled at the pathway that just appeared ''where did you learn that spell''

'I saw it one of dad's old book but never mind that come on what i want to show you is inside' He grabbed Julius's hand and ran inside as they both ran they came across a huge hall inside of the cave, it was an ancient library with weird inscriptions written on the wall and two giant sculptures of two men fighting .

Julius was in awe,he was dumbfounded, he walked towards the sculptures, there was some inscriptions written on it, it was in a language they've never seen before

'what is this place'' He asked

'I don't know,i came across here the other day when i was training,this is actually my first time inside this hall' Michael responded with his eyes still fixated on one of the sculptures. Both of them kept walking towards the sculptures like it called them, immediately they placed their hands on the sculptures they both collapsed.

Ugh my head hurts....where am i' Michael said as he woke up from his long slumber

'Oh thank goodness you're awake'

Michael turned to the direction of the voice to see who spoke, only to see Fred his dad

'You've been unconscious for three days, i found you guys lying lifeless at the entrance of the cave up the mountain,what happened?'

'ugh my head...what happened?' Julius said as woke up too

'i can't seem to remember anything that happened'

'hmmm...you boys got me worried there for sure but are you sure you boys remember nothing or what took you there?'

'Nothing comes to mind' they both replied

'ok you both best get some rest,. remember you'll be starting the academy next week so you can learn the art of being a mage'

'I'll be going out for a moment there's something i need to take care of, please get some rest' Fred stood up and left the house

'Hey J'

'Yes'

'Did you notice that had that look on his face before he left and also isn't it weird we don't remember anything'

'Yes i noticed it too and since when did you start calling me J!'

knock knock

Baba Tunde are you home'

'ahh Fred my old apprentice it's been a while you've come pay me a visit,what brings you hear?'

Baba Tunde was one of the oldest mage alive since the war and is now the head of the clan,many come to him for advice

'Come sit, i suspect this is urgent,you have that look on your face'

Fred entered his hut and sat close to him

'Baba Tunde remember the story you told me about during the war that nearly drove us to extinction'

'I told you alot of things my boy, you will have to be more specific,this old man has alot on his mind'

'the other day i found the boys lying unconscious in front of the cave up the mountain and took them home and while they were unconscious they both muttered something THE HORIZON HOUR, i remember you saying something about this during the war and how it connects all the races'

Baba Tunde was shocked upon hearing this for he never thought this day would come

'Baba Tunde please i beg of you tell me all you know, what is The Horizon Hour'

I guess it's time you know if what you say about the boys is true

The next morning

Michael and Julius woke up to the most shocking that'll change their lives for the next 5years, they were going to stay with Baba Tunde and train to understand more about themselves.
