“Jessica?” the woman called.
“Jessica is it really you?” she asked.
I internally groaned because the last thing I wanted to be doing right now is talking to her. I just wanted to get home and cuddle up to my baby girl with a cup of hot chocolate and forget about this horrible day.
“It is you. It’s been so long.” She stepped toward me.
One scathing look from me and she stepped back, knowing and understanding that she needs to keep her distance from me.
