Chapter Thirty-One
The meeting Tony had thought was necessary had dispersed. Those that did not participate in the meeting had long since disappeared, running back off to somewhere in the Tower or accompanying themselves with other things around Manhattan. As happy as the rest of the world had been for not meeting its impending doom, the defenders felt quite the opposite. Sulking around Avengers tower, making entertainment out of New York City as best as they could while a creature they'd never encountered before rested in the Tower that was their only form of safety, a haven, if anything at all. Those apart of the team couldn't understand why Tony had decided it was such a wonderful idea to bring the girl back to Earth.
