Upon reaching their new destination, the trainees were quite excited to be among the new military recruits. Chants were blown out loud in unison to mark the cheerful break.
Their new field was crowded. Far larger than their previous setting.
Women were numerous, ranging with a number of roles in the army grounds. Each soldier rocking their suit with varying motives from one head to the next.

His palm placed on his protective plates, blacksmith to his iron tied curse. Aaron was definitely set for the game to go by his rules on this specific standpoint. A challenge hungry for his evolution, pushing him beyond old limits.
A new ground Intertwined in heavy silences, sassy sarcasm set at the back. With foreseeable lasting friendships from different colleagues set at the forefront. Aaron was ahead of his game.
"And let’s talk about that baby face — drill sergeants keep checking your ID to make sure you’re not some middle schooler who got lost on a field trip." Said one of Aaron's colleagues
"I'd rather go blind than bow to this kind of wee thing, useless!" Aaron retorted with a smirk
He shot his shots direct and concise in his words in contrast to his former timid shell. Remnants of his past, dropped to the void.
Like a sprouted seed, Aaron’s growth was nurtured by his sudden bond with his closest friend, Loki —a silent force tugging at his heart. A fair toast to Aaron's lingering ghosts.
Aaron stuck around people he could befriend in the whole lot of people found at the military station.
Deep cries from his past drastically toned down. Set out of his habitual downs with raw mirrors singled out for him as battle buddies formed during their training.
The path was drawn for the advanced individual training at the army station. He tested the grounds at the boot camp and could glimpse up on his future.
The sky rolled out tension for our new recruits at the army station. Midway shivers under the mid-day sun
Queued up after his colleagues, nervousness rolled up Aaron's neck. Pushing him to the edge and getting him lost, piercing at his mind.
Tension rolled up Aaron's sleeves as he preceded his colleague signing his military contract. A rush of restless charges running through his trembling fingers for a split second.
In hindsight, a pretty easy task to be done in a heartbeat. But on the other side, a feeling whispering down his cheek bones.
Beyond his dazzling trigger, a load to be weighed off. A decision he rolled all the papers and books for. Was sure not meant to be left out just yet.
Never really died out, the crippling voice in his mind. Definitely an arrow to his bow. A ton of reasons to keep riding. An echo of his parent's death
Retreat back to memory lane at the look of his colleague's bruised hand. His younger self encircled by bullies in the school field on the hot paving stones, sun kissed whilst peace wheels off.
Mid-day confessions from the Shadows of his past whispered to his soul.
The dotted lines were to be signed. Threw a call at him and it was a done deal despite the nasty murmurs of doubt. The oath was well pronounced, and it was a wrap on his new adventure. A keen blow to the noise in his mind
Stitched to the noise, in resonance to his voice, resolute rejoice. Sips of blues kept aside and quite a world away. Footfalls whistling vibrant notes of faith. Kind of a playground with a roar of strength slapping right in his face.
"No actual proof you're there but I know, and I hope you're proud. The ghost of you lingering down my chest" Aaron said, in remembrance of his dead parents
The difference was felt with their previous bootcamp. No sergeant nor colonel screaming at their faces in the name of whatever training.
Through all the sweat, cries and blood, Aaron stayed faithful to his usual relationship to the woods.
Eyes closed in the green luminous field, he felt like his grandma was by his side with this specific routine. Speaking out the same words they were used to, like unforgettable music notes with soothing grip to his heart.
