Chapter 10 “May I speak with Detective Baines, please,” Jim asked. After giving his name, he was put on hold. A minute later, he was asked to hold again while his call was transferred. “You’d think he was the CEO of a major business,” he grumbled, drumming his fingers on the desk in his office at the theater while he waited. The detective finally answered, saying, “Mr. Foster, have you remembered something more that you want to tell me?” “No. But I would like to talk to you, in person, if that’s possible.
