Chapter 7

Jacqueline POV It had long passed midday and Natalya was still with me. In fact for the entire day we’ve been shopping, to the movies, ate out and had an overall good time together. I knew that wherever Joseph was at that moment, he must have wreaked havoc all around. Was I worried? Hell yeah. Was I going to take Natalya back to her father? Hell no. "Oh, goodness gracious my feet hurt so bad," I said to Natalya as I put her down to open my room door. She giggled as she ran inside rushing to probably go watch TV. I breathed out a loud sigh as I grabbed all 5 shopping bags and made my way inside, making sure to lock the door behind me. I walked to the bedroom and placed all the bags on my bed. Going to the bathroom I put the water on lukewarm temperature as I called for Natalya to take a bath. I guessed that she couldn’t hear me over the TV volume so I went to get her myself. "But I don't want to bath," she whined. I shook my head, "just 10 minutes and then you can go right back, alright angel." She sang the songs that she learned in Russian as I took her clothes off and took my time to wash her and her curls. Her father and nanny were the one who had taught her those Russian songs. I could hear just a few words here and there but other than that I wondered what they meant. Indeed, ten minutes later I was finished bathing her and I dressed her in a cute zebra onesie. Unable to keep the smile from breaking out on my face, I looked at her adorable face looking up at me in the cutest way. "Mama, stop," she said through giggles in between my kisses. "I can't, you're just about the most beautiful baby girl in the world," I said softly looking into her light brown eyes which were very much like her father's, "mama loves you very much." "Aww," she cooed, putting her tiny hands on my face, "mama you're the prettiest woman in the whole wide world." Oh my god. I wrapped my arms around her tiny body holding her close as I whispered to her that I'll always love her. I tucked her into my bed and switched on the cartoons for her before going back out to the kitchen to get some snacks for Natalya. She was sitting, tucked under the blankets of the bed as I moved the shopping bags to the floor instead. Handing her the snacks before giving her a kiss on the forehead and going to the bathroom to take a shower of my own. It was only when I was undressed that I took out my phone, which was in my pocket, and decided to check my messages. I only had one missed call from Joseph and texts from several other people, but Joseph's single text message was the one that stood out. One call + one text message = a definitely ticked off Joseph. Where is Natalya? I replied saying: She's with me. Sign the divorce papers. I switched off my phone and stepped inside the shower. I took my sweet time lathering the soap over my body and taking the time to wash my hair as well. I watched as the water pooled around my feet before it went down the drain. After I was done with my relaxing shower, I turned the water off and opened the shower door. I stepped out and as soon as I turned I couldn’t help but let out a loud gasp in shock. Standing in here in the bathroom was none other than, Joseph. "Joseph," I said, through the thick silence. His jaw clenched, his light brown eyes looked darker almost black. His usual suit attire was on and of course his hair was styled perfectly with his posture stiff. What scared me though was the gun he held in his left hand. Within two steps he stood in front of my naked form. Gripping my face roughly with his right hand, he glared into my eyes and I cowered under the heat of his gaze. I had never seen him direct this much anger at me. "How...how many...fucking times should I talk to you? You've f*****g forgot that I'm Joseph f*****g Hutcherson," his voice was a deadly calm whisper across my face but his eyes relayed all the anger he kept in, "I f*****g told you yesterday to bring my f*****g daughter home, and what did you do? You didn't f*****g bring her home. I told you by midday, and now... it's the f*****g night." "Jose-" "If you f*****g say anything right now I'm going to f*****g kill you. I'm here trying to sort out this f*****g marriage and all you keep saying is 'sign the divorce papers'..." He traced the gun along my collarbone, "let me f*****g tell you something. You're not getting that f*****g divorce. Not now, not ever. Get that through your thick f*****g skull." He gripped my jaw tighter and I whimpered, "I've been playing Mr f*****g nice guy for far too long now. You've adopted a f*****g attitude, talking to me however you f*****g like. Listen, Jacqueline, and listen f*****g good, my men have already packed your f*****g bags and taken Natalya to the car, she's waiting downstairs. Now, what you're going to f*****g do is wear that robe over there, put on your f*****g slippers and walk the f**k out of here and into the f*****g car. You're f*****g going home and there's abso-f*****g-lutely nothing you can do about it. Now. Get. f*****g. Dressed." I quickly moved my naked body to the robe that neatly sat near the shower and put it on. Shivering, not from the cold but from his anger. I quickly reached out for my phone as well but he snatched it from me and put it in his pocket. He grabbed my upper arm the minute I secured the robe around me and began to drag me out of the hotel room and out of the hotel. I tried keeping up with his steps, but every time I fumbled he held on to me firmly. He opened the back car door of a slick black car and practically tossed me inside before going to the driver's side. Natalya was sitting in the passenger seat looking at her father questionably, but all he did was caress her cheek and all was forgotten. She had a smile on her face as she and her father began to rapidly speak in Russian. The journey from the hotel to his house is literally a solid 2 hour drive, but with the way he was driving we got there in less than an hour. When we pulled into the driveway, already, Natalya's nanny was waiting patiently for us. Not wanting to be manhandled by Joseph again, I quickly opened the door and banged it closed purposely on my way out. He wouldn't do anything to me in front of Natalya but once she was gone...I wasn’t safe. "Good evening, Boss Lady," she greeted looking down at her feet. I put my hand comfortingly on her shoulder before making my way into the house. Natalya would be taken care of in her hands and I knew Joseph wouldn't let me see her. Gosh, this house never stops amazing me. No matter how many times I've been in it. Heck, I've lived here for almost 8 years and it's grandness and beauty never failed to amaze me. It's not a house nor a mansion but it was nothing short of a damn castle. However, even through my amazement I stormed up the stairs, ignoring all the looks from the servants as I made my way to our bedroom. I made sure I banged the door as loud as I could and with that I could literally hear the sound echo throughout the house. The sound made me smile a bit, at least they all knew that I was mad as hell too. Our bedroom was...just glorious. The bedrooms were already huge in the house but our bedroom was the size of three guest bedrooms in this house. My wardrobe was at the end section of the bedroom, the size of one whole bedroom in the house. Designer clothes, shoes, and handbags was all that could be seen. My wardrobe was dream worthy to put it simply. Realising I was way too angry to get dressed I just settled on going to the bathroom and locking myself in there because I knew that once Joseph came up a war was about to begin. ~~~
