"Congratulations alpha.
The queen just gave birth to a healthy beautiful female puppy.
Would you like to see the baby?" Mariana was the one who announced Alana's birth to the alpha.
She hadn't been named yet.
I came to learn of her name later.
The alpha's smile was infectious as he looked at everyone around with a smile that said 'look, I am a father again'.
I felt guilty when I saw the proud father when I knew that his two children weren't his.
He had, once more, been duped into raising another man's child.
After Mary had given birth and we cleaned the child, we put her to sleep and blamed it on exhaustion because she had given birth prematurely although the baby was healthy enough.
It was a miracle that the child didn't need an incubat
