13 Thad leaned back in his chair in the board room, facing off once again with Roarke Covington on a large real estate deal. Roarke smirked at him from across the expensive mahogany table. Thad rarely took the bait. He defeated Roarke more often than not, but the two of them were always counting points on who won a particular round. He wasn’t a cocky bastard like Roarke, but winning still mattered. His father sat on Thad’s right and Jared was on his left. The rest of the chairs were filled with various other employees who handled financial matters for Thad’s company.
