Harker led Alison into the bar. “Are you sure you don’t want to get some dinner? The food here is excellent.”
“No.” She sat at the bar, her head almost spinning as she tried to take everything in at once. “This place is beautiful.”
“It is nice.” He sat next to her.
The Club was elegant but understated. The lighting was subtle, just enough to add mystery. The bar was solid wood with etchings of couples participating in various adult activities along the sides, the couches and chairs were upholstered in different shades, some blended into the background while others added a splash of color.
“Why don’t I order something for you to snack on.” He didn’t want a repeat of their wedding night.
