Episode 7

Jared's Pov

This is the day. I am meeting a big client. I looked at my phone after taking a bath.

1 message from Sam

Red! Well be having an after party celebration after ng event ko today. Fetch me at the Monte Alegre's residence. I added you as my plus 1. Bring swimwear and extra clothes. Party ends at around 8pm.

I tap on the reply button. I can't make it on time. I have a meeting with a big client today but I'll go there as soon as I can. Send

Nag ayos na din ako ng konting gamit to bring for the after party celebration. Everything is all set. Bumaba na ako from my condo to the parking lot and drive to my office.

It's not that much of a company. My grandma gave me the woodworks business she have when I graduated and I started managing it. I took the business course when I was in college so I will have an idea how to manage a business.

I arrived at my office not too far from my condo. I prepared the documents for the meeting later on after lunch. I scanned the contract. I saw a familiar name on it. So, he was our client. I wonder where is he going to use the crafts we are offering.

Ang bilis lumipas ng oras. It was already after lunch when I check on my wrist watch. I head on to the meeting area with the contract in my hand.

"Good afternoon Mr. Dela Paz, we appreciate you being this early. This way please" iginiya ko siya sa wooden long table

"Good afternoon Mr. Villamayor" bati naman niya sa akin. "Its been long when I last saw you" dagdag pa niya

"That is true, I hope the air is clear between us and our own business will not be affected." sabi ko pa sa kanya at ngumiti

"Have a seat please" turo ko pa sa kanya para maupo

"Thank you, I have an event to attend later so I don't have much of a time. Everything looks good with the carvings of the pieces I want. So let's sign the contract" Sabi pa niya ng may pagmamadali

"Woahhhh, hold your horses Mr. Dela Paz, I just got a few question about it. After all we are the supplier of the pieces. We better know to where they are going" sabi ko pa sa kanya

"Well, its mainly for the house I'm building for my future wife. Some will go to new company I am establishing. So your pieces will be known to a lot of employees." pagpapaliwanag pa niya

"Congratulations in advance to your marriage then. We are going to do our best to cater the needs both for your home and your company" lahad ko pa sa kanya

"I want it done the soonest possible time. That is my only request. Call me once everything is settled." he then signed it and shake my hands

" May I know who is the lucky girl? " singit ko pa sa kanya

"You will know her then. Well have take over the wedding for the furniture's we need" yun lang at agad naman siyang umalis

"Thank you Mr. Dela Paz. We will look forward to that date" sabi ko naman sa kanya

Hindi naman sekreto nung college ang babeng itinatangi ni Aldrin. He even annouced it in a crowd so I have an idea who is the girl. I was just testing him if he will spill it.

May mga documents pa akong kailangan ireview and meeting sa staff ko today. I made my way back to my office and start to work again.

It's past 8pm when our meeting ended. Lagot ako nito kay Sam. I was not able to fetch her as what she requested. Sam is my cousin, she always ask for my company.

I made a drive thru order for my dinner before going to the Monte Alegre's residence. Sana maabutan ko pa sila.

I checked my phone but there was no message from Sam. Mabilis lang ang byahe. I ate the food I ordered on my way.

Nagpark lang ako sa labas dahil safe naman at may mga security guards sa labas. Naglakad ako papasok just to check kung tapos na ang event. Wala ng ingay or signs ng program. Nagpatuloy ako sa paglakad at may nakita akong babeng nagmamadaling umalis.

Umilag ako pero dahil hindi siya nakatingin sa daanan nagkabanggan pa din kaming dalawa.

"Woooooaahhhhh ! " Anna? " tanong ko pa sa kanya

" I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you" . Yumuko pa siya tanda ng pagpapaumanhin. May halong pagkalito sa mga mata niya

"It's me. Jared. Jared Villamayor" ahmmmmmm... College? Lunchbox? Enrollment?" pagpapaalal ko pa sa kanya

"Jared? yung nakabangga din sa akin from college? tanong pa niya sa akin

"Yes! That Jared. That is me. " Nakaramdam ako ng ginhawa dahil naalala pa pala niya ako

"What are the odds?" napangiti pa siya sa akin

"I was here for Samantha. Late na yata ako, she invited me to the outing after the event but I was on a meeting with some clients so na late ako." paliwanag ko pa sa kanya

" I know the place. Since I booked it. Can I have a ride to the venue? tanong pa niya sa akin

"You sure can. Common, I parked the car a few meters away" pag aya ko pa sa kanya

"Thank you. I owe you this time. And I'm sorry for what I did to you back then. You know the angst and the kid in me did it." dagdag pa niya

"I deserve it. I was really the one at fault then. You know, the kid in me playing the phone while walking" napakamot pa ako ng ulo cause I feel so embarrassed being grumpy from then

Nagpatuloy kami sa paglakad hanggang maabot ang kotse. Mabilis lang ang byahe. I asked Anna to take a nap while I'm driving para makapagpahinga siya ng konti.

"Anna" mahina kong tawag sa kanya

Ang amo ng mukha niya. "Were here Anna" kinalabit ko pa siya ng bahagya para magising

Dahan dahan siyang nagmulat ng mata. "Thank you." Let's go inside. I hope you enjoy this" sabi pa niya at ngumiti

"Looks like I will enjoy it" sagot ko naman sa kanya

Patuloy namna kaming pumasok after magpark. Nagtinginan silang lahat sa amin. I saw Sam doing the preparations for the night celebration. I made my way to her.

I kiss her on her cheek and made a little bow to greet every she's with.

"Everyone! Lets have a talk in 20 minutes" malakas na sambit ni Anna

"Everyone! Lets have a talk in 20 minutes" naglakasd na siya sa kwartong nakalaan para sa kanya

Itinaas ko naman ang dalawang kilay ko tanda na maiwan muna ako kasama si Sam.

"I'm sorry, the meeting took longer than I expected" apology ko kay Sam

'"That is okay, I understand. Sorry hindi na kita namessage after medyo busy kami magpack up kanina." sagot naman noya sa akin

"Let's enjoy he night. Ang tagal ko na din bago nakapag relax. Thank you for inviting me here" mahaba ko pang sagot

"So, what is the real score?" tanong niya at bahagyang ngumiti

"Score, saan? maikli ko pang tanong

"Sa inyo ng boss ko" pangungulit pa niya

"Score ka diyan, wala lang siyang masakyan kaya siya nakisabay. She is beautiful but I doubt she will be easily get swayed" sabi ko pa sa kanya

"Looks like you know something about her" dagdag pa niya

"Let's just say it was from our history. Better to ask her. Medyo bad boy kasi ang tinigin niya sa akin" napangiti pa ako ng maalal ko ang nangyrai nung enrollment days namin nung college

"Ok. Go get change. You are not going to swim with that clothes" sabi pa niya

"I'll be right back" mabilis ko pang sabi at pumunta na ako sa mens area
