Chapter 2:One Night With A Hot Stranger

1350 Words
Emily's POV The moment I left Austin’s apartment, all my tears came crashing down. I kicked off my heels and broke into a run. Tears blurred my vision, mixing with mascara and smearing down my cheeks. Could the night get any worse? Above me, thunder cracked and lightning flashed. It was as if the universe too was mocking me, because seconds later, the sky opened and heavy rain came crashing down. It was a perfect reminder of the night everything went wrong. I still remember that night vividly. The shattering of glass, my mother screaming, Father barely breathing…. I was stuck in the back seat, crying and forced to watch my beloved father take his last breath. By the time the rescue team arrived, mother had passed out. She was rushed to the hospital, but she didn't make it either. Somehow, I managed to survive. My heart was completely shattered as I ran in the rain. I didn't have an umbrella, but I didn't care. I just ran. I had no idea how long I had wandered around, but eventually, I stumbled into a hotel lobby. “Ma’am, are you okay?” The receptionist called behind me as I walked past. I didn’t answer. I knew I looked pathetic, drenched from head to toe, makeup smeared and body trembling with sobs and cold. But I didn’t care. All I wanted to do was disappear. I stepped into the elevator and hit a random button, praying it would take me anywhere. The doors were almost closed when a hand slipped in, forcing them to slide back open. That was when I saw him. A tall, handsome man dressed in a black suit with icy blue eyes, sharp jawline and sleek black hair. He didn’t even look at me as he walked in. Good. I didn’t want anyone to see me like this. The elevator started to move but suddenly jerked, and the lights went out. I gasped and reached for the wall. “Wh-what was that?” “Power outage.” His deep voice was calm, “Don’t panic.” But I did. I was afraid of the dark. My heart caved in and my breath quickened. I took in deep breaths as I shivered, trying my best not to pass out. “Are you okay?” The stranger finally spared me a glance. I nodded even though I knew I looked far from okay. “You’re hyperventilating.” He frowned. A second later, he was beside me, draping his jacket around me. “It’s okay, you're fine.” His words were so comforting. “Just breathe slowly, okay? It'll be over soon.” My tear-filled eyes found him and everything around us seemed to pause. And then, for the first time ever, I did something crazy. “I’ll give you ten thousand dollars.” He blinked. “Excuse me?” Ten thousand to sleep with me. “Right now,” I blurted out without thinking. The stranger frowned and took a step back. “That’s not something I do.” “Fine. Twenty?. Thirty? Fifty? Whatever it is, just name your price and I'll pay you. Just help me to forget tonight.” “Are you drunk?” “More like heartbroken.” I chuckled. I wasn't about to explain how my entire world had crumbled to a stranger. He studied me for a while, his expression softening a bit before he stepped closer. His presence sucked the air from the elevator and the delicious scent of expensive cologne hit me. “I don’t want your money,” he said quietly, “But if you want me that badly… you have to pay a different price.” My heart started to pound at the same time as the lights flickered back on. The elevator dinged, then started moving again. Goodness, I can't believe I was about to do this. “I’ll pay.” I swallowed quickly, “Whatever it is, I’ll pay for it.” “Fine then.” His eyes remained on mine for a few more seconds before he pressed the button for the top floor. When the doors opened, he turned. “Follow me.” Like a good girl, I followed the tall man down the long hallway. He stopped in front of the door at the very end and I looked around, noticing how this particular room was farther from the rest. His suite was nothing like Austin’s cheap apartment. It screamed power, danger, and luxury. The moment we were in, he grabbed my waist and pulled it into his arms. “Again, are you sure about this?” He was giving me the chance to reject, to say no and walk out of here, but I wasn't going to take it. I needed to be ruined tonight. “Yes,” I nodded. My breath hitched when he leaned in, his lips hovering above mine. “You’re going to regret this later.” “I doubt it,” I replied, feeling the excitement slowly bubble in my inside. “I don’t regret anything.” “Good.” His lips curved into a smile, “Because I’ve been looking for you.” Before I could ask what that meant, he crashed his lips on mine. I kissed him back like I was drowning. Like he was air, I desperately needed to survive. My hands tangled in his hair as his fingers moved around my body. He broke the kiss after a while and slowly traced the curve of my cheek. A shiver ran down my spine as our eyes locked but his hands never stopped. They moved around my exposed skin, leaving a trial of goosebumps wherever they touched. I sucked in a breath as he carefully slid my dress over my shoulders, exposing my skin to the cool air of the room. My body stiffened as the dress fell to the floor and pooled around my feet. I gulped. Was I even ready for this? “Relax,” the stranger whispered as his fingers found the straps of my bra next. With practiced ease, he unfastened the clasps, allowing it to fall away, and I shivered as the cold air hit me. Now, I was bare to a complete stranger. His eyes darkened as they moved over my body, lingering on my chest a little. “Beautiful.” He murmured and kissed my shoulder. “Very beautiful.” A small moan escaped my lips as his hands resumed moving around my body. He settled for tracing circles around my mounds this time and I arched in, wanting more. I gasped when his lips found one of my sensitive peaks and clutched his shoulders for support. My fingertips dug into his skin as he flicked his tongue over me, teasing me mercilessly and causing moans to escape my parted lips. One minute we were standing by the door and the next, I found my back against the bed. “Are you sure about this?” he asked again, bringing his face back to mine. My chest heaved, feeling his hand move lower, stopping right above my underwear. I swallowed. It was now or never. I gave him a small nod and with one swift tug, he pulled down my underwear, revealing my most intimate area. I gasped. He knew exactly where to touch and how to touch me. It was incredible. Raw need pulsed through me and I arched against him, gasping, trembling and wanting him to touch me forever. That night, I collapsed and fell asleep in the arms of a stranger. When my eyes opened the next morning, the first thing I noticed was the unfamiliar silk sheets. And the second? A fat diamond ring sitting on my finger. My eyes widened as I bolted upright, my head throbbing slightly. I looked around the unfamiliar room, panic crawling down my spine, then glanced back at the ring. What the hell was I doing with a wedding ring? At the same time, the door opened, and a voice filled the room. “Good morning, wife.”
