*Ava's POV*

Another day at work. So annoying. Being an Alpha is just horrible. Not to mention being a mafia at the same time, yeah.

As I go to the bathroom I hear some people talking about a girl named Rebecca Adair. I recognized the familiar name. I realized immediately who she was. She was from the Bluehood Clan.

Today, I decided to be nosy and eavesdrop on them. But what I didn't know was that I was going to get more than I expected. You see my clan has been the biggest yet strongest. I, Ava Black am what you call an Alpha. People call me Mafia Alpha but, I don't like it much. Yeah, I kill people if others want them to be killed, but I also hate being an Alpha. But good news, I won't be alpha anymore. They have chosen Nathaniel White as the next Alpha. He already found his mate so, there's no finding who. I, however, have not yet found my mate and If I do, hopefully, he isn't as jerky as Nate.

Nate, go to the room I'm by and scare them.

Why?

Nate always questions me about everything I do. Whatever. Rebecca Adair. Bluehood Clan. 

Jacob set a dinner up with the Bluehood Clan tomorrow.

Why?

Ughh. Just do it.

No. Tell me. Why?

Jacob. Just.Do.It.

Fine. But you better tell me.

Jacob is such a brat. He may be my Beta but, UGHHHH. He's so anoying. 

"Meeting is going to be tomorrow 2 p.m." Jacob says with a stern face.

"Alright,"

"Now, why don't you tell me why you arranged that meeting. With the Bluehood Clan."

"Fine. I arranged that dinner with the Bluehood Clan because I realized that Rebecca Adair's parents are in the clan. They probably want to meet me again. And with them and the whole clan, there is more than enough people to witness it."

"Cool. Whatever."

"Are you still sad you won't be Beta anymore?"

"Actually, I am."

"Cool,"

I go to the bathroom and realized, I just missed a meeting.

"Nahhh. It's fine" I say to myself while looking in the mirror. 

I also realized I forgot to eat breakfast. I race to the kitchen to make myself breakfast. Dosen't seem like something an Alpha would do? Well, trust me, I'm not a really aggresive Alpha. Besides, Nathaniel is going to be alpha soon enough so I can act however I want. I can act like a kid, a bully and other things. 

After I eat breakfast I go back to my room and just stay there while looking on my phone. 2 more days until my birthday, I realized. Well they should already know. I should be expecting surprises anytime.

Ava.

Jacob, what do you need?

Meeting is today 2 p.m. 

Alright. But, why?

Just agree on it.

But, why?

I mess around with him for a while.

They don't have time tomorrow. Okay?

Fine.

It's almost impossible to annoy Jacob.

I look at my watch. 

1:48

Shit, I gotta warn them.

"Guys, 12 minute warning!" I shout to them.

They all get on the move. 

12 minutes is not enough for us though. But if we move faster there's a chance that we can get there faster.

As we leave we keep some people to watch over the house.(I don't trust them though)

As we get closer to the packs house, we hear a sudden scream. We rush to the house and were in shock after what we had just seen. 

Blood. 

So much blood.

So, red.

But there she is.

Rebecca. covered in blood

But she's with someone else. Could it be a friend perhaps?

Why do I even care?

As I walk around dead body's I go up to Rebecca.

''Hey Rebecca. Who's she?" She has a sudden reaction.

"O-oh. She's my friend. Best friend to be exact.'' She says with a faint smile.

I don't care who they are to be truthful. But now since the people who I needed to talk to are now dead, I have to talk to Rebecca about it.

''Diner table,'' I say to my people.

They obey.

"The reason why I-we came hear was to talk to Gaby and Dave. Rebecca, is your sister hear. You know, Jessica? And your brother, too.''

"I'll go get them'' She replies immediately. She went immediately.

I look at her friend. She looks scared without Rebecca. Oh dear, kids these days. I may be 18 years old but, I do not act like a little kid. Mostly because I'm not. 

Silence. 

No one dares to talk. 

I just break the silence.

''What's your name?" I ask her friend. 

"My name is Jenny."

"Cool"

She looks hesitant. Like she wants to cry.

"You come here often?"

"I guess? My parents died so I'm staying with her so yeah."

I guess that's the first story I have ever heard. My exaggeration isn't going to get me anywhere, is it?

Rebecca comes back with Jessica and Daniel. They seem shocked to see me. 

''Oh, hi Ava!'' Jessica says with a smile. I smile back.

''What do you need?'' Daniel ask while looking out into space.

''I came here to ask if you guys have told her yet. 

They shake there heads.

''Sorry Ava. We didn't know the right time to."

I look at Rebecca. She looks at Jessica and Daniel, dumbfounded.

''May I ask, what's going on?'' Rebecca suddenly asks.

''Sis, uhh. Well, you see umm-"

I cut her words.

''You are not Gaby's and Dave's actual daughter, Rebecca. You're parents? No one knows. The Bloodmoon Clan and the Bluehood Clan have been teaming up to find your parents. Let me ask you a question Rebecca."

''Okay?''

''Have you ever shifted?"

''No,''

''Okay,''

I sigh.

''Becca, can you go and try to, shift?'' 

''I'll try, but I don't know how though.''

''Let your wolf take over you, sis,'' Jessica says with hopeful eyes.

''Okay. I'll try.''

We wait.

One minute.

Two minute.

Three minute.

Four minutes.

And then, suddenly, a white wolf with golden eyes appear in sight.

Jessica and Daniel look so happy. 

But, this wasn't enough to help us.
