Kai's POV:
They both uttered “s**t” at the same time. The man I know knew as my father gave me a concerned look. He then turned to his father and gave him a long look.
The silence was unnerving and I was getting annoyed “What, just spit it out”
“The reason we were so shocked to see you is because we haven’t been able to reproduce, my father was lucky enough to survive his birth but he killed his mother, unfortunately for me it was the same. My mate died in child birth. That’s when I met your mother, I was just so depressed.”
He looked at my mother and then back at me “Your mother is the only one that has survived carrying one of us and I can only assume that is because you didn’t inherit one of our traits”
