Joe's POV:
We drove from the cabin and for a couple of minutes we were in complete silence. Connor was driving with us in the truck and the other guys where in Calib's car. I knew the space must have been severely cramped for their long muscular frames but none of them said anything.
The guys didn’t say anything out loud but I knew they were communicating with each other, they obviously didn’t want me to know the plan which made me truly nervous, I needed Kai to be safe, he was all I had now, him and the baby. It was strange being so connected to this man after basically only knowing him for what six, maybe seven weeks, and it might sound cheesy but it really felt like I had known him forever. Even the guys started to feel like family.
