Joe's POV:
Jasper bought me some more food and I took a shower and dressed in some clothes they provided me. I fell asleep on the bed, a dreamless sleep. It must have been midnight when I woke up with an uneasy feeling. I heard someone in my room. The lamp next to my bed was still on so I could easily make out the figure of a women who looked to be in her mid-forties.
I knew immediately that she was Kai’s mother, and I also knew Kai didn’t trust her. She walked over to me and held her finger in front of her mouth, she didn’t want me saying anything. As soon as she realised I wasn’t going to say anything she smiled brightly at me and she walked over to me, taking a seat on my bed. I moved up slightly, I didn’t want to be to close to her. She gave me a small smile, she knew I didn’t trust
