I woke up the next morning with a knot in my stomach. The sun was shining through the big windows, but it didn’t make me feel any better. I sat up and looked around the room. It was still too big, nothing like my previous stuffy apartment.
I checked my phone.
7:15 AM.
“Shit.”
Breakfast was at 7:30. Rule number one. Do not be late.
I jumped out of bed and threw on some clothes. A tight white tank top and denim shorts. I didn’t have any decent outfit. I knew he would probably stare, anything to piss him off.
I brushed my hair quickly and ran downstairs.
