CHAPTER SIXTEENA Wintry Grave Rough hands scooped me from the snow and I slithered against a leather-clad chest. Voices swirled around me and a warm finger brushed icicles from my cheeks. The skin on skin sensation burned. “Her tears froze.” The baritone sent vibrations through my body as the male spoke. He clutched me closer. “How is she not dead?” “I don’t know.” A deeper voice contained foreboding and a scratchy blanket touched my bare arms. “It’s far below freezing point.” He hissed out a sigh. “Just be wary of her. There’s more trouble behind that innocent face than you can imagine.” “She’s a woman, Limah.” I felt my arms might snap as he crushed me closer. “You don’t know that.” I knew the gruff tone and tried to cry out. Pain shot through my joints as the first man laid me down
