LaloI kept looking at my watch, waiting for eleven o’clock. The server came to the table and introduced herself. I see you have two place settings, you must be waiting on someone, so I’ll give you a few more minutes. I looked at her, nodded and smiled.
After looking at my watch for what felt like the one hundredth time, I finally heard her.
“Hola Señor. Cómo estás?”
I looked up and smiled.
“Hola, mi amor.”
“You look worried. Did you think I was going to stand you up?”
“Tal vez. Maybe.”
“No need to worry. I’m here.”

“Thank you,” she beamed. “So, what did you order?”
Nada. I was waiting for you.”
