Orion I already hate this woman but Dad was not making it any easier for the hatred to dissipate. What do you mean I have to go and meet someone I hate and spend the whole morning with her. I murmured to myself . “I think you should get yourself together, this lady didn’t ask to be in this situation you know.” Owen who was sitting beside me in the car advised. “Owen, why didn’t your father tell me that I was supposed to go and be with this stranger for the whole morning before the wedding in the evening. Why does he like tossing my life up and down. I mean I was in my bed, relishing the few hours of my life I have to still be single and not entangled when your father decided to cut it short too. Seems, the next thing he will request for is my head on a platter.” “Come on, it has not gotten to that extent.” Owen admonished. “Really, well, tell me what is worse than this?” I hissed out. “Well, the lady being ugly would have made it worse.” He chuckled out. “This is not funny Owen and you know she is not my type. I don’t care for what she looks like.” “Are you telling me you are not going to have s*x with her because she is not what you like physically?” “Hey, I can always have s*x with any woman of my choice. That’s the least thing she can offer.” I answered with my eyebrows knitted. “I guess we are here.” Owen announced while stopping the vehicle. “Dad is already entering, I guess this isn’t his first time here.” “He said he had wanted to take the house and enforce the other part of the agreement before the family agreed to the daughter marrying me. Imagine that, as if she is gold.” I spat out. Owen who was has already stepped down from the vehicle gazed at me from car window “You confuse me. One minute you are angry that you are getting married to a stranger, next minute, you are angry they didn’t agree sooner.” I stepped out too “Well, I am not happy getting married to a total stranger but hey! Which woman can resist me?” At that, Owen started his mocking laughter. “Which way.” I asked one of the guards conveniently ignoring Owen who has doubled over with laughter. “I don’t blame you, you have seen me so many times that you are no longer in awe of my beauty.” I murmured as I walked away which made him increase the tempo of his laughter. I saw a face peeping at us from the window but who on meeting my eyes closed the window shield. I sighed, knowing within me that it was the lady and hating her the more. Who hides behind a window shield if not a coward and I hate cowards, I already have plans for her. I smiled to myself. The house exterior wasn’t so bad and as I entered the living room, I knew that whatever this family was owing my dad was running in billions for them to have to sell off their child to pay it. “Hey son! Come sit, meet your in-laws for the mean time.” Dad introduced gesturing to the man and woman who were already seated on the sofa. “You are welcome Mr. Orion, the woman greeted.” “Thank you.” I forced out and got Dad’s admonishing gaze for that, why does he care so much about my attitude towards them. “Just like I said, these are your in-laws for the meantime.” He reiterated. “I heard you the first time Dad.” I hissed out. “Please where is the lady, I actually brought him here so they can acquaint themselves with each other.” Dad asked the man ignoring me. “Please go and call Ava, you can take her straight to the garden at the back; I and Mr. Lloyd have some paperwork to finish up.” The man instructed his wife, all the while eyeing me warily. I didn’t care, I mean, I did not ask to be here so I gazed at him suspiciously too, he finally looked away and focused on my dad as his wife went upstairs, “Your son can be shown to the garden, my daughter will come there to meet him.” “Hey, you show him to the garden.” He instructed the maidservant that was serving us tea. My dad nodded towards me and I followed the maid outside all the while seething with anger. It is the way Dad still treated the man like a business colleague that baffles me, I mean, he is clearly owing. I was shown to a chair, the garden was calm and the flowers were already budding, I would have enjoyed the whole scene if not for the reason why I was here. After some minutes, I heard footsteps and turned to come face to face with the lady and my heart recoiled in anger and hate. “I heard you studied business management in school and was even one of the top students?” I fired off. She gaped at me “Hmm, I…” she stammered. “You are clearly slow, I can see that. Seems your father doctored the portfolio they gave to my father because you do not look like someone who can face a room full of people talk more of being the best student.” I placed my finger on her jaw and started at her mockingly. “How do I live with you this thing?” I blurted out. She shrugged my finger off her jaw and took a step back, panic written all over her face. “That is better.” I breathed. “You should be sacred because I so hate you with every drop of my blood. You should know who I am?” I questioned and stared at her. She nodded when she realized that was a question and I smiled slyly; I was loving this. “Good, that means you know that you are not my type and that brings us to the conclusion that this whole thing is a sham. You are not in my level and you will never be.” I saw the tears gather in her eyes and my heart lifted up in joy. “To be able to work for me, you need to be docile.” “Work for you.” The voice hoarse to the ear sounded. “Oh, you talk.” I mocked, “Yes, you are going to be working for me an d you will start the work tonight.”
