Right at dusk, I entered my father’s land using the lesser traveled entrance. This way we would have a more direct shot to the guest cabins we were staying in.
If I’d used the main entrance, we would have driven past the main house and gone in a huge half circle to get to our destination. This way was faster and, also gave us a little more time before we were bombarded by everyone. I was sure my father’s and brother’s packs would want to congratulate me on my win for the councilor position. I didn’t want to get caught up in all the mayhem before we had a chance to settle in.
My father’s lands were tucked into the hilly forest area outside of Eureka, which provided lots of privacy and protection for his pack.
