Jadea I stared blankly up at the ceiling, hating how my nightmares kept me from sleeping. Last night had gone well. I’d eaten everything Adam put on my plate, even though I hadn’t tasted a damn thing. I drank the water obediently. I kept my mind from dwelling on all those negatives, forcing myself to be focused on the conversation at hand with my pack—who had obviously been nervous. They were worried and concerned.
