When I walked into the cabin, I closed it softly behind me and leaned back against the door to peer down my nose at Adam. He hadn’t hardly moved. If anything, he had relaxed his torso so he was curled further down into himself. Other than that, he had stayed in the same exact spot and position I’d left him in.
