There was a lot of underlying tension that needed to be resolved or just allowed to be released before continuing this meeting. “I’ll see you all promptly in a half an hour. And,” he added sternly. “Everything we just spoke about stays between us. No one else—no mates, other pack members, no one—learns about Jadea’s heritage.
