The palace guards considered her closeness to the king a but, did little to nothing. Their colleague was still pined with the sword intended to stop Catherina from harassing the king, now pointing at the guard's face. They were convinced that the fate of their colleague was nothing but, just a strong statement made by the Witch Mistress. She meant to let them know that, this could be any one of them if, they try something stupid, just like their colleague had done.
