“Gary called. He said your girlfriend left the estate,” Uriel said with a grin, and I frowned, glancing at my watch.
“Laura left the estate? Did he mention where she was headed?” I asked, curiously.
“I don’t know, but I do know Ossar asked for you to meet up with him,” Uriel replied, sipping from his wine
I stood up immediately, the chair scraping against the floor, and Uriel raised his glass in a mocking toast.
“Be careful, man,” he advised, and I nodded, as my mind was filled with different thoughts, I wondered what she was up to.
When I arrived at the address Oscar had sent, I noticed he seemed troubled.
